Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi crowns winners at World Fencing Championships

Sheikh Salem bin Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi, President of the Asian and Emirati Fencing Federation and member of the Executive Board of the International Fencing Federation, witnessed the crowning of the winners at the World Fencing Championships currently being held in the Georgian capital Tbilisi, which will continue until July 30.
Sheikh Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi crowned the winners of the girls' sabre competition, which was won by the neutral athlete, who took the gold medal, while Polish athlete Zuzanna Szyslar took second place and the silver medal, and Chinese athlete Pan Qimiao took third place and the bronze medal. Ukrainian fencer Alina Komashchuk tied for third place and also won the bronze medal.
Sheikh Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi expressed his delight at the excellent organization of the tournament, which saw wide participation from male and female fencers from around the world.
He said that this major sporting event reflects the development and growing interest in fencing at the global level, and that we are proud of the active participation of our national team players, who delivered an honorable performance and achieved positive results against some of the world's most prominent players.
