The UAE fencing team won 6 colorful medals (3 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze) in the competitions of the Asian Cadet Fencing Championship, organized by the UAE Fencing Federation at the Al Ahli Club in Dubai. The competition concluded yesterday, Sunday.

The fencing team delegation will leave for Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, on Friday, to participate in the U-20 World Cup for boys and girls, “individuals and teams,” in fencing, which will be held on December 2 and 3, and will return on December 4 to the homeland.

Alhayam AlBloushi, a player from the UAE national fencing team, achieved a historic milestone by winning the gold medal in the under-17 category for the foil competition at the Asian Fencing Cup for Cadets. The competition took place at the Al-Ahli Youth Club in Dubai, featuring 148 players from 10 Asian countries competing in the individual and team events for three weapons: foil, épée, and sabre

Sheikh Engineer Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the Asian, Arab and UAE Fencing Federations, member of the Executive Office of the International Fencing Federation, witnessed the meeting of the General Assembly of the International Fencing Federation (Congress), which was held in the Egyptian city of Sharm El-Sheikh, in the presence of Emmanuel Katsiadakis, President of the International Fencing Federation, and presidents and representatives. Federations of more than 135 national federations for the game, which was opened by Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports.

Shabab Al-Ahli Club won the Fencing Competition title, and MKFA Academy won the Epee Competition title, today, Saturday, in the first rounds of the Federation Fencing Championship for the general category.
